I’m Nia, a Visual Development/Concept Artist and Matte Painter working in animation, based in Sydney.
I'm drawn to environments for their rich storytelling potential, how a place can hint at a larger world beyond the frame and reveal the lives of the characters who inhabit it. Each project is built from research, collaborative problem solving, and a deep understanding of context. With a background in architecture, I focus on design clarity and exploring the cultural narratives behind worldbuilding to create spaces that feel lived-in, immersive, and emotionally resonant. Outside the studio, I enjoy dancing and plein air painting!
